DERSINGHAM CARES - Response to Grenfell Tower tragedy

In the early hours of Wednesday 14th June 2017, a horrifying blaze started at Grenfell Tower, in West London, causing a number of fatalities.  Over 120 families are now lost their homes, as well as all of their belongings.  As a school community, we need to respond to support these families and victims.

We have established a link with Kensington Alridge Academy, based 200m from Grenfell Tower.  Over the next few days, we will be collecting donations of the following items:

  • Toiletries (for adults and babies)
  • Tinned foods
  • Blankets

Our School Council will be travelling to Kensington on Wednesday (21st June) to hand over our donations.

As a school, we are developing our children's social awareness of what social responsibility is and trying to show them what true British Values mean.  As a nation of British citizens, we want to be considerate and empathetic to our fellow citizens, and this is our opportunity to how that at Dersingham we care.

We thank you, in advance, for your donations.
